Day 2: Monday   Chobe National Park
Shortly before sunrise travel by open vehicle into the Chobe National Park, where wildlife roams freely in profusion and diversity. It is home to the largest concentration of Elephant in Africa, while other game consist of large herds of buffalo, Puku, Lechwe, Bushbuck and Kudu. Other major species such as Lion, leopard, Wild Dog, Sable and Roan Antelope are encountered in many areas of the reserve. Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge (B, D)

Day 3: Tuesday   Makgadikgadi Pans
We start our tour in Chobe, Kasane, and travel south to the mezmerising Makgadikgadi pans, the largest clay pans on earth. On an afternoon nature drive (season permitting) we experience this geological phenomenon of surrealistic beauty. The remoteness and inaccessibility all add to the mystique and also explain why these pans represent one of the major highlights found in Botswana.
Overnight: Nata Lodge (B, D)

Day 4: Wednesday   Okavango Delta
Elephants in the Okavango Delta BotswanaAfter breakfast we travel to Maun, where we embark on a 4x4 vehicle that takes us into the Moremi Game Park, an area which we will explore in detail over the next two days. En route to our rustic camp, which we will reach in the late afternoon, we search for the animals that make this park one of the top wildlife reserves in Africa. The park covers about one third of the entire Okavango delta and, with its giant mopane forests, contrast beautifully with the wide open spaces of the Khwai floodplain. After a safety briefing at our camp we enjoy a 3-course dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of nature.
Overnight: Bush Camp in Moremi (Full Board)

Day 5: Thursday   Okavango Delta
After an early continental breakfast, we leave for a morning game drive through the area in search of predators. Moremi is unequalled in scenic beauty and hosts an excellent quantity of birds, animals and plants. We return to our camp for lunch, and the afternoon is spent searching for species not encountered yet. We return to camp after sundowners to enjoy a 3 course dinner beneath the stars (weather permitting).
Overnight: Bush Camp in Moremi (Full Board)

Day 6: Friday   Kalahari Desert
Kalahari DesertAn early morning game drive takes us out of the park and back to Maun, from where we travel into the Kalahari Desert. Our lodge is situated on a private nature reserve, being the habitat to rare animals such as the bat-eared fox, honey badger as well as the nocturnal aardvark. The Kalahari Desert has for thousands of years been the traditional home of the legendary Bushmen; in the afternoon we learn more about the different plants and animals found in the desert  by joining the Bushmen on a walk – an experience giving us deep insight into the hunting techniques and other survival skills still practiced by the Bushman.
Overnight: Motswiri Lodge (B, D)

Day 7: Saturday   End of tour
After breakfast, we travel to Windhoek via Gobabis, the capital of Namibia’s cattle farming country. We are dropped off at our accommodation of choice, where this tour ends. Alternatively, your guide will take you to the international airport for your outbound flight.

For clients wanting to return to Maun, it is approximately a three hour drive (300km), or a 45 minute hop from Maun to the Kanana Wilderness airstrip, which is located on the reserve. We offer a collection service from Maun or Ghanzi

We would recommend combining this itinerary with our 13 day Exploring Namibia Safari Package but it would work with a lot of other options so just let us know what you would like your Namibian Safari to include and we can tailor make your itinerary for you.
