Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park
Depart Mombasa Town this morning and travel to the Bachuma Gate, the entry point into Tsavo East National Park (driving time is approximately 2.5 hours). Driving through the park, you appreciate the immensity of the plains and the large diversity of wildlife. Arrive at Satao Camp, surrounded by a lush wooded oasis of tamarind trees, in time for lunch. This afternoon, enjoy a game drive and visit Aruba Dam. Spend 2 nights at Satao Camp on a full board basis.
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park
Before breakfast depart on an early morning game drive and then relax before this afternoon's activity. Tsavo is home to a wide variety of animals including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, serval cats, buffalo and elephant, as well as abundant bird life.
Day 3: Tsavo East National Park - Mombasa
Depart on an early morning game drive, returning in time for breakfast. Travel to Diani Beach, south of Mombasa, where you will check into your Resort for the next 5 nights, including dinner and breakfast.
Day 4 - 8: Mombasa
Relax at your Resort, enjoying the tropical gardens and white sandy shores of the Indian Ocean, protected by a barrier reef. This is a great area for diving, snorkelling and other watersports. Other activities we recommend in the Mombasa area include a trip to Wasini Island, including snorkelling at Kisite Marine Park and an evening harbour cruise on the Tamarind Dhow.
Day 9: Mombasa
Check out of your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Mombasa Airport for your onward journey.
