Day 1: Sunday: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga - Sabie
Depart from Johannesburg and head east to spectacular Mpumalanga with a visit to the famous Jane Goodall Institute, informally known as “Chimp Eden”. Enjoy a short introductory drive through the
1000 hectare Umhloti Nature Reserve with a breathtaking view of the picturesque De Kaap Valley Mountains and view the natural game species that roam the reserve. After lunch at the reserve’s restaurant (not included), you will have a unique opportunity to see chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings with normal social interaction and behavioral patterns under group members. Being the first and only chimpanzee sanctuary in South Africa, this venue brings the world of chimpanzees closer to humanity through education, and modern technology. In the late afternoon arrive at your hotel.

Day 2: Monday: Kruger National Park
An early morning start as we enter the world famous Kruger National Park, unrivalled in its diversity of flora, fauna and bird life. Enjoy a full day of game viewing, learning about plains game and seeking the elusive Big Five. An opportunity for lunch and refreshments will be taken during a stop at one of the park’s various camps (not included). Marvel at the African sunset as you return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Tuesday: Panorama Route
After breakfast, depart from the hotel and explore the Panorama Route, featuring God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and the Three Rondawels of the Blyde River Canyon. Arrive in time for afternoon tea at an exclusive private game lodge, followed by your evening game drive in an open safari vehicle. Return to the lodge for dinner under the stars around a crackling fire in the “boma” (weather permitting).
Makalali Private Game Reserve or similar - dinner bed and breakfast + 2 game viewing activities

Day 4: Wednesday: Safari - Nelspruit - Johannesburg
After an early morning game drive in the reserve enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Departing the lodge in the late morning, we head back to Johannesburg via the Strydom Tunnel and Abel Erasmus Pass to the small towns of Lydenburg and Dullstroom (known for being one of the coldest places in South Africa). Your tour ends with a drop off at your hotel in Johannesburg or O.R. Tambo International Airport.
