The first 3 nights are spent in the Greater Kruger National Park on a walking Safari in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Stay in a classic rustic bush camp made up of thatched rondavels, a boma, lapa and swimming pool. The camp has no fences and is built around lovely African Bush trees. Then transfer by road to Mozambique and spend the next 3 nights on Ocean Safari, enjoying many activities including fishing, snorkelling and dolphin watching. Day 1: Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Greater Kruger National Park
Spend 3 nights in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, which forms part of the greater Kruger National Park. It is a Big 5 area with no fences around the camp. The camp is rustic in design, with no electricity, which adds to the atmosphere of the true African safari experience! All meals are prepared over coals of an open fire and hot water is provided through a “donkey boiler” system. After lunch and a pre-trail briefing, we walk to our sundowner spot, after which we take a short night drive back to camp for dinner.
Day 2 & 3: Klaserie Private Nature Reserve
Over the next 2 days, take part in early morning walking safaris in the reserve, followed by breakfast, lunch and an afternoon walk, sundowners and short night drive back to camp for dinner. The walks will be led by two experienced and qualified Rangers who, together with local trackers, will teach and explain the wonders of the African Bush and its creatures from the smallest insect to the awe-inspiring Big 5!
Day 4: Klaserie Private Nature Reserve - Mozambique
An early morning start today as we travel by road to Topa Das Arvores in Ponte Malongane, Southern Mozambique. The lodge itself is made out of Zimbiri - a local hardwood - and is nestled in a dune forest. Long white beaches provide endless walking space and the view from the deck is breath-taking.
Day 5 & 6: Topa Das Arvores, Mozambique
Guests may choose their activities and the times which they want to do them. Activities such as dolphin and whale watching, snorkelling, fishing off the beach and boat, spear fishing, bird and nature walks in the wetland area behind the lodge are included in the rate. Specialised fishing off the boat will be weather-dependant, and takes place early in the morning. Excluded activities are scuba-diving and horse-riding - although both are easily organised on request. We recommend scuba diving, as this region is famous for its beautiful reefs.
Day 7: Topa Das Arvores – Nelspruit
This morning we transfer back to South Africa by road, to Nelspruit Airport, where our tour ends.
