Port Elizabeth is nicknamed the ‘friendly city’ and is in the Eastern Cape Province. The Eastern Cape is the ancestral home of Nelson Mandela (Qunu). In 2000, Port Elizabeth became part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, named in honor of this great leader.

It has 40 kilometers of beaches in this bay and is well known amongst the surfing fraternity.
