Best of Zambia National Parks Safari is an 8 night safari package discovering three different national parks in Zambia - the Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls), South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi.

Day 01 - Arrive Livingstone, Zambia
As you will be entering Zambia, a single entry visa will be required and is obtainable at the point of entry at a cost of US $50 per person, payable in cash. The visa fee is subject to change at the discretion of the Zambian government.

Sussi boating past roomsOn arrival at Livingstone Airport a Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma representative will meet and transfer you to the lodge. The transfer time is approximately 20 minutes. Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is named after David Livingstone's faithful companions and consist of an intimate lodge and two exclusive houses, both of which are situated to make the most of the amazing views that the sweeping Zambezi River provides.

The central lodge building features a raised bar/lounge with deck, downstairs open air dining area, swimming pool and a separate treatment room which provide incredible views of the mighty Zambezi. Meals are table d'hote with a wide variety of dishes available, served alfresco. Activities offered at the lodge include, game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, where guests can see a variety of game, including white rhino, elephant, buffalo and giraffe. A walking tour of the incredible Victoria Falls, a World Heritage Site, is a must. Also on offer is a cultural tour of the local Simonga village, where a number of the staff from Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma are employed from.

Day 02
The day is at  leisure - you might choose to go on a morning game drive, set off on a walking tour of the nearby Victoria Falls visit a local village or enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Mighty Zambezi river and watch an African sunset.

Day 03
Please meet the lodge representative in the reception area for your transfer to Livingstone Airport. Depart Livingstone on a Proflight scheduled light aircraft charter flight via Lusaka to Mfuwe Airport. The flying time is approximately 1 hour to Lusaka, where you will disembark and check in for your onward flight to Mfuwe. Lusaka to Mfuwe is a 1 hour flight. On arrival at the airport a Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp representative will transfer you to the camp. The transfer time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and most of it through the South Luangwa National Park.

Puku Ridge South Luangwa interior Dbl bedroomSanctuary Puku Ridge Camp is situated in a remote wildlife rich area and is named after the Puku antelope that inhabits the Kakumbi Dambo (floodplain), which the camp overlooks. This small and intimate bush camp is built on a hillside, combining an authentic safari experience under canvas with 5-star facilities and the wildlife that frequents the area.

The seven luxury tented rooms of the camp are spaced a good distance apart, with drop-down canvas flaps for impressive 180 degree views of the floodplain. The comfortably furnished rooms with luxurious interiors are equipped with twin or queen beds, mosquito nets and indoor and outdoor showers. The large oval bath also provides the perfect spot to relax and view the impressive wildlife in front of the tent. The private decked area, overlooking the small waterhole makes it the perfect vantage point to sit and watch the African bush unfold.

The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy one of the many game viewing activities available at Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp.

Day 04
A full range of day and night game drives in the South Luangwa National Park are offered, using open 4X4 vehicles driven by knowledgeable guides. The emphasis in this area is on the wonderful opportunities of walking safaris with a professional guide and an armed national parks scout. Walking safaris offer a different perspective on the bush and its plentiful inhabitants, experiencing the “little five”.

Day 05
A full range of day and night game drives in the South Luangwa National Park are offered, using open 4X4 vehicles driven by knowledgeable guides. The emphasis in this area is on the wonderful opportunities of walking safaris with a professional guide and an armed national parks scout. Day 06
After breakfast a camp representative will transfer you to the airport. The transfer time will be advised to you locally. Depart Mfuwe on Proflight on a shared light aircraft charter flight to Kulefu airstrip, in the Lower Zambezi. The flying time is approximately 1 hour 40 mins. Kindly note, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick up and drop offs en-route to your destination which would affect the flying time.

On arrival at the airstrip a representative will transfer you to the camp by boat, transfer time is approximately 20 minutes.

Kulefu Camp Outdoor LoungeDeep in the game-rich Lower Zambezi National Park, Sanctuary Zambezi Kulefu is a secluded, intimate safari camp settled comfortably in the shade of tall riverine trees. Profoundly peaceful, eco-friendly and well appointed, the camp overlooks one of the permanent channels of the legendary Zambezi  River.

Enjoy the beautiful riverbank setting at Kulefu, 'the faraway place' which offers excellent game viewing opportunities. Here the wildlife is concentrated in the land corridor between the steep escarpment and the river. The camp offers seven spacious tented chalets with twin or double beds, mosquito nets and en-suite facilities, offering a relaxing view of the mighty Zambezi. The central lounge and dining area are housed in a magnificent Bedouin style tent which gives a lovely open air feel to the setting and allow guests to feel as though they are part of the surrounding environment. Teak furniture and natural fabrics add an authentic feel to this incredible bush experience as well as providing luxurious comfort. The location is enhanced by a swimming pool right on the river bank as well as a teak deck overlooking the river. An evening campfire forms an integral part of the camp where guests can sit and discuss the events and sightings of the day.

Day 07
The next two days are at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer at Sanctuary Zambezi Kulefu. For the more adventurous, it is possible to take a breathtaking trip down one of the many channels on a canoe, viewing game from the water's edge. Or try to catch the mighty tiger fish, fishing is done on a catch and release basis. Try beating our 12 pound (5.5kg) record!  Finish your day with a sundowner cruise on one of the camp's private boats on one of the many channels of the Zambezi River.

Day 09 - Depart Lusaka, Zambia
Time permitting, the day will begin with a game viewing activity. After breakfast a camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip. The transfer time will be advised to you locally. Depart Kulefu on a Proflight shared light aircraft charter flight to Lusaka Airport. The flying time is approximately 40 minutes. Kindly note, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick up and drop offs en-route to your destination which would affect the flying time.

Depart Lusaka on a scheduled flight for your onward journey.

This package is based on flights from Livingstone Airport to the camps/lodges and departure from Lusaka Airport. Please note that the luggage limit on scheduled charter flights in Zambia is 15kg in a soft-sided bag.
